Turn your Mac iSight into a CCTV system
If you have an unused working Mac computer, say an iMac with iSight, you can turn it into a CCTV system for the purpose of monitoring things remotely. For example, you may want to put it into the server room for remote monitoring.
To do this, you will need to install a third-party application called RemoteSight along with SecuritySpy software, both developed by Bensoftware.
So how does it work?
Simply install RemoteSight app to your Mac and set the built-in iSight as the video input. Additionally, install SecuritySpy to turn it into a full CCTV system (capture video and audio from various input sources).
RemoteSight and SecuritySpy are shareware apps but you have 30 days to try it!
