Keep an eye on your Mac devices
For those of you who do not know, Apple had introduced iCloud which included a tool for tracking your Apple devices. This is very useful under extreme circumstances such as loss or theft. You can remotely wipe or lock your Apple device.
To enable this feature, you need to have an Apple ID. Go here if you don't have one.
Assuming your all set with your Apple ID, follow the simple steps below:
To enable remote tracking on your iPhone/iPad, tap Settings > iCloud, then turn on Find My iPhone.
To enable remote tracking on your Apple computer, upgrade your Mac to OS X Lion 10.7.4 if you haven't already. Go to System Preferences... > iCloud, then check Find My Mac.
And there you have it!
To check, just use any computer the fire up your favourite web browser and type: http://www.icloud.com. Log on using your Apple ID. Click the Find My iPhone icon and you should see all your registered Apple devices. You can also use your iPhone to track your devices. Simply install Find iPhone in your iOS device.
